Podiatrists are specialist health professionals that are experienced in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of foot and ankle conditions. They are trained and skilled across a vast variety of areas, from management of minor skin issues, to treatment of more complex structural problems. Scientific evidence-based practice is at the core of all treatment.
In order to practice, Accredited Podiatrists require post-graduate University education and registration with governing boards and national associations. Strict guidelines and registration standards require regular up-skilling with CPD, as well as annual CPR, defib and anaphylaxis updates.
