Podology Podiatry is accessible to everyone, and some patients may qualify for a referral if they attend with an eligible Chronic Disease Management Plan (or EPC). This is an Australian Commonwealth Government Medicare initiative. Podology Podiatry is not a Bulk Billing clinic.
An example of some eligible conditions include:
- Long-term foot/ankle pain
- Diabetes
- Arthritis or difficulty in reaching and managing own feet
- Disabilities or injury
This referral may provide you with up to 5 Medicare subsidised visits per calendar year. Patients are required to pay the full appointment fee, and Medicare will provide their rebate within 3 business days.
Referrals are not bulk billed and a gap payment is applicable for each of these visits. Please discuss with your Doctor for eligibility criteria. More information can be found at www.health.gov.au.
Without a referral, patients are welcome to use their private health insurance extras. Podology Podiatry is a BUPA first provider. DVA, workcover and TAC patients are also welcome.
* Please note a referral is up to the discretion of Doctors to provide to each individual patient and is not the responsibility of Podology Podiatry Clinic.
